Striving to be our best every day
Transform is our Continuous Improvement program, which was developed and implemented to give a voice to our people. The program ensures HPS employees have a say in their work environment and overall work. Since its inception, employees have generated over $1.5 million in savings.
We believe that having a suggestion program gives all employees an equal opportunity to impact and improve the safety, quality, sustainability and efficiency of their work areas and processes. Once implemented, the employees and helpers earn points that can be redeemed for HPS gear or gift cards from various vendors.
Cross-functional teams with a global impact
Our cross-functional teams tackle larger issues within locations and sometimes across locations. The focus of the Kaizen/Projects cover a variety of focus areas including sustainability, efficiency, process, and product design and quality.
Minimizing waste and increasing safety
As part of continuous improvement at HPS, we follow the principles of lean manufacturing. This helps create a safer and more organized work environment by reducing clutter and safety hazards and creating clarity around processes and procedures. Embracing lean manufacturing allows us to foster a culture of continuous improvement, enhance job satisfaction, promote safety, reduce stress, and provide opportunities for skill development.

Together, Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing support common quality systems, including ISO 9001:2015, as published by the International Standards Organization (ISO). With our ISO 9001:2015 certified facilities, we strive to uphold the highest standard of quality through our preventive maintenance, contingency planning and testing systems to ensure the reliability of our product and processes.
