Volunteering

Our global company goal is to reach 5,000 volunteer hours every year and we offer paid time off to help make that happen. We partner with Habitat for Humanity, building homes for those in need of Affordable Housing. We also work with Trout Unlimited, planting trees in Walkerton and Guelph, Ontario as part of our Environmental efforts. Locally, you’ll find HPS volunteers throughout our own communities—helping at food banks, schools, fundraisers, and more.

Our giving also takes the form of monetary donations and sponsorships for organizations that support our 5 Pillars of Giving.

Some highlights include:

  • Food donated to feed children in need.
  • Meals provided for HIV-inflicted children in India.
  • Toys gifted through various Giving Tree programs

Employee-led fundraising

If it’s important to you, it’s important to us. So when it comes to fundraising, we focus on employee-led initiatives, such as food hamper donations at holiday time, toy drives and giving tree programs, and back-to-school backpack fundraisers. In addition to giving paid time off for volunteering, we also often match employee donations.

HPS proudly invests hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to sponsor community events and organizations that align with our 5 Pillars of Giving or are employee-referred. Sponsorships give us the opportunity to support a wide variety of the causes our people believe in.
