Totally Enclosed Non-Ventilated (TENV) transformers are highly suitable for adverse atmospheric conditions. They are built to restrict unintentional circulation of external air through the enclosure. TENV are desired in areas where conductive, combustible or corrosive materials like lint, dust or dirt are present. The fully enclosed non-ventilated transformers are available in aluminum or copper windings from 15 to 333kVA.
Applications include food processing, pulp and paper, foundry, textile, electrochemical and other industries where the transformers may be exposed to spray or wash down conditions.
