Line reactors provide an excellent economical method to both protect a VFD from voltage transients and other system issues as well as mitigate current and voltage harmonics produced by a VFD. In addition, when applied to the output of a VFD, line reactors help mitigate reflected wave issues and reduce motor heating and noise. Properly specifying a line reactor is key to getting the best performance in each application.
