Can an Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) be applied to a DC Drive?

Harmonics from DC drives are not the same as those generated AC drives. Not all harmonic filters are capable of adapting to the differences with the DC drive to effectively mitigate harmonics. The HPS TruWave is proven to be effective in mitigating harmonics produced by a DC Drive. It is important that the DC Drive have a line reactor or isolation transformer on the input to provide additional impedance which will assure proper operation of the AHF.
