How can HPS Centurion P Passive Filters have lower kVAr to KW ratio (<20%) than other manufacturers?

There are many tradeoffs in system performance when designing a passive filter. In simple terms, HPS uses a larger reactor with higher inductance to allow us to use smaller capacitance in the HPS Centurion™ P. The kVAr to KW ratio of the system is less than 20%. Lower kVAr lowers the risk of any system issues at low loads and negates the need for a capacitor contactor.
