How does a SineWave filter work?

A SineWave filter is designed to pass the fundamental voltage (0-90Hz) and block the switching frequency harmonics and high frequency components (2kHz and above) from the VFD output. This eliminates the voltage spikes, ringing and reflections that occur at the motor terminals when long lead cables are used. Moreover, the sinewave filter will deliver high quality power with low total harmonic distortion to the motor.
