HPS also offers leaves of absence, which grant time off for life events such as parental leave, bereavement, and jury/witness duty.

Employee and family assistance program (EFAP)
All HPS employees and their families have access to this confidential, best-in-class program. EFAP offers referrals for services like professional counseling, work-life solutions, coping with loss, financial management, retirement preparation, and dealing with family matters. It’s also a great resource for finding books and educational materials related to self-help, finances, healthy living, and more.

Employee education assistance
Gaining and exchanging knowledge and ideas is at the core of who we are. One way we empower our employees to keep learning is through employee education assistance, a program that provides financial aid toward continuing education.

Scholarships for dependents
The Lillian E. Hammond Scholarship was created to support the postsecondary education of employee dependents. Children of HPS employees can apply for the scholarship to provide financial assistance for costs related to postsecondary school courses.
